Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 30, 2026
This policy explains how Smeltara: A Smithy Odyssey (“Smeltara”, “the game”) and its developer, İzzet Nacar (“we”, “us”), handle information. Smeltara is a single-player game. You can play locally without creating an account.
1. Information stored on your device
Smeltara stores game progress and preferences in the app’s private device storage. This can include coins, gems, workshop progress, upgrades, equipment, reward receipts, timestamps, language, audio, haptics and graphics settings. This local data is used to run the game, restore progress after closing it and calculate offline rewards.
If you allow notifications, the game schedules a few reminders on your device (for example when offline earnings are full or a free chest is ready). They are created and delivered locally; no notification content or identifier is sent to us. You can turn them off in Settings → Notifications or in your device settings.
You can reset local progress from Settings → Start Over. Uninstalling the game normally removes its local app data, subject to your device platform’s backup behavior.
2. Optional Cloud Save and account sign-in
Cloud Save is optional. If you choose to sign in from Settings → Cloud Save, Smeltara uses Unity Player Accounts, Unity Authentication and Unity Cloud Save, services provided by Unity Technologies. If you never sign in, none of the following applies.
- Unity Player Accounts processes the email address you use to create or access the account and creates a unique Unity Player Account ID. Smeltara does not receive your password.
- Unity Authentication creates a Player ID and authentication/session data used to recognize the signed-in player.
- Unity Cloud Save processes the Authentication Player ID and IP address and stores the Smeltara save file and file metadata that you choose to back up.
We use this information only to authenticate you, compare device and cloud progress, back up your selected save, restore it on another installation and prevent accidental overwrites. Cloud Save data is not public and is not used to match you with other players.
3. Optional in-app purchases
On Android, Smeltara offers optional in-app purchases of gem packs and a permanent Profit ×2 boost through Google Play. In-app purchases are not yet available on iOS. Buying is never required to play or to finish the game.
Google Play processes the payment. Smeltara and İzzet Nacar never receive or store your card number, bank details or other payment credentials; Google handles them under the Google Privacy Policy and the Google Play Terms of Service.
A purchase is linked to the Unity Player Account you use for Cloud Save, so it can be restored on another installation. When you buy or restore, the game sends the following to our purchase service, which runs on Cloudflare:
- your Unity Authentication Player ID and a sign-in token that proves it;
- the purchase token issued by Google Play and the identifier of the product you bought;
- technical request information, such as your IP address, which Cloudflare processes to deliver and protect the service.
Our purchase service verifies each purchase with Google Play, delivers the purchased item exactly once, restores your purchases when you sign in again, records gems spent from your purchased balance and removes items when a purchase is refunded or cancelled. It stores your Player ID, a one-way fingerprint (hash) of each purchase token instead of the token itself, the product, gem amounts, dates and your resulting purchased balance. We use this information only to provide, restore and secure your purchases and to prevent fraud. It is not used for advertising and is not sold.
4. Support email
If you contact us, we receive the email address and any text, screenshots or other information you choose to include. We use it to answer the request, diagnose the reported problem and keep a reasonable record of the conversation. Do not send passwords, payment information or other sensitive data. Nothing is sent merely by opening the support link; your email app sends only after you choose to send.
5. Store and website links
The game can open the applicable app marketplace, including the Apple App Store or Google Play, for ratings and this GitHub Pages website for support and legal information. On Android, in-app purchases open Google Play’s purchase screen. Cloud Save sign-in opens Unity’s account portal. Those services process visits under their own policies:
- Apple Privacy Policy
- Unity Game Player and App User Privacy Policy
- Google Privacy Policy
- Cloudflare Privacy Policy
- GitHub General Privacy Statement
This website contains no advertising, analytics, cookies set by İzzet Nacar or contact form.
6. Optional advertising and related data
Smeltara offers optional rewarded advertisements through Google AdMob. The game does not show forced advertisements. When an internet connection and applicable privacy eligibility allow it, the game may load advertisements at startup so a reward video is ready when you choose it. An advertisement is shown only when you select a rewarded-ad action. If an advertisement is unavailable, you can continue playing without it.
The current release uses general-audience Google advertising. It does not ask for your age, date of birth or age sharing. After Google’s privacy service says advertisements may be requested, iOS may show Apple’s tracking permission. If you decline, Smeltara keeps the advertising identifier unavailable and disables personalized advertising; optional rewarded ads and gameplay continue. If you allow tracking, and your applicable Google privacy choices also permit it, Smeltara and Google’s advertising partners may use Apple’s advertising identifier to track activity across other companies’ apps and websites so optional rewarded ads can be personalized. You can later change Smeltara’s tracking permission in iOS Settings. The current release does not enable Unity Ads or AppLovin mediation, Firebase Analytics or Firebase Remote Config.
Google’s advertising and privacy services may process your IP address (including approximate location inferred from it), device or app identifiers, ad and app interactions, and diagnostic or performance information. Google and its advertising partners process advertising-service data for ad delivery, reporting and fraud prevention under their policies. A denied tracking choice limits advertising processing; it does not mean that no information leaves the device. Smeltara does not send its gameplay save file, cloud account details, purchase records or a birth date to Google for advertising.
The game checks Google’s privacy eligibility without opening an automatic startup consent form. If the required eligibility is missing, advertisements remain unavailable. Where offered, use Settings → Privacy Choices to review Google’s privacy options.
Google handles its service data under the Google Privacy Policy. Google’s advertising services and partners are also described in How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services. Those pages explain applicable privacy controls, access, retention and deletion. Resetting Smeltara’s progress does not itself delete data already processed by Google’s advertising services.
We do not sell your gameplay save file, purchase records or contact information. Advertising-service processing may be treated as sharing under some privacy laws; use the applicable privacy choices and provider controls described above.
When Smeltara shares information with a service provider, we require that provider, through its applicable terms and policies, to give the information the same or equivalent protection described in this policy and to process it only for the applicable purposes described above and as permitted by law.
7. Retention and deletion
- Local game data remains until you reset it, clear app data or uninstall the game.
- Smeltara Cloud Save data remains until you delete it. While signed in, choose Settings → Start Over → Device + Cloud to delete both Smeltara cloud save slots before resetting the device.
- Purchase records remain while your account can use or restore the purchase, and for as long as needed to handle refunds, prevent fraud and meet legal or accounting obligations. Start Over resets game progress but does not remove items bought with real money; they stay linked to your account. You can ask us to delete your purchase records; after deletion those purchases can no longer be restored.
- A Unity Player Account can be managed or deleted through Unity Player Accounts. Unity has the direct cross-application account relationship; deleting the Unity account is separate from deleting Smeltara’s cloud files.
- Advertising-service data is handled under Google’s policies and privacy controls. Start Over does not withdraw advertising privacy choices or delete Google-held data.
- You may also follow our data-deletion instructions or contact us for help.
8. Security
Local data uses the operating system’s app sandbox. Cloud requests use Unity’s supported authentication and Cloud Save services. Purchase requests use encrypted connections and a verified Unity sign-in token, and purchase tokens are stored only as one-way fingerprints. No system can be guaranteed perfectly secure, but we minimize the data used and do not put account passwords or payment details in the Smeltara save file.
9. Intended audience
Smeltara is intended for players aged 13 and over. The game does not collect a birth date or ask players to share their age. Apple’s tracking choice is not used as an age signal.
Local play does not require an account. Unity Player Accounts, Cloud Save and in-app purchases are not intended for a child below the digital-consent age that applies where they live unless a parent or guardian has provided any required consent. Such players should use local play only unless a parent or guardian manages the optional account sign-in and purchases. Contact us if you believe a child has provided personal information to us.
10. Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to ask about, access, correct or delete personal information. For Smeltara application data, including purchase records, use the in-game deletion route or email us. Use Google’s privacy controls for information processed by its advertising services. Unity Player Account access or deletion requests must be made directly through Unity’s account portal or its published privacy contact.
11. Changes
We may update this policy when the game, service providers or legal requirements change. The date at the top identifies the current version.
